Hexham Book Festival 2015

Applying for and receiving funding from the Gillian Dickinson Trust has been an uncomplicated and straight forward process, we delighted to be in receipt of support from the Trust.

Gillian Dickinson funding support in 2015 has helped the organisation continue to deliver a wide range of projects throughout the year as well as contributing to the core costs of running the Hexham Book Festival.

The funding enabled the delivery of following projects:

Author Talks in Libraries: Author Tours with Patrick Barkham , Mike Pratt, Stephanie Butland, Chloe Daykin, Max Adams .

Work with young people: Minors’ Strike: Working with Haltwhistle Middle School and Queen’s Hall Youth Theatre.

This was a workshop based theatre project encouraging young people to write for performance , particularly focussed on reluctant readers and writers, bringing young people from West Northumberland to Queen’s Hall Arts Centre, Hexham, many for the first time.
