How to Apply
Applications
The Trustees objectives and applications guidelines.
The Trustees have decided that over the next five years their priority for making the grants will be as follows:
- Making grants for capital or one-off revenue projects that promote excellence and which will be life changing for the recipient charity and/or its beneficiaries, primarily through the promotion of creativity, particularly in the young and disadvantaged.
The Trustees' general guidelines include:
- Grants will only be made to registered charities operating in Northumberland, Tyne and Wear and County Durham which do not have the status of national charities and to whom a relatively small amount of money may make a considerable difference.
- Any charity making a successful application will be barred from making a further application for 12 months.
- Any grant application must set out measurable objectives consistent with the recipient charity's charitable objectives and its public benefit requirements and must include an undertaking to make a report within a reasonable timescale to the Trustees on the results achieved from the grant as measured against those objectives.
- It is likely that the trustees will make a small number of large donations.
